What about assisted reproduction and surrogacy?
We have represented many people who are interested in building their family through assisted reproduction. In these instances, we have assisted everyone involved, including the intended parents who are seeking to add a member to their family, and the surrogate who is willing to carry and give birth to a child.
Who do you represent?
We have represented adoptive parents and birth parents from all over Maryland, other states, and foreign countries.
Most often, the adoptions we facilitate involve the adoption of infants. However, we have been involved in adoptions of people of all ages the oldest person being adopted so far was a 69-year-old! These cases involve all types of people seeking to adopt from married couples and single parents to step-parents, grandparents and other family members. We also work with parents who are adopting children through licensed adoption agencies by assisting them to "finalize" the adoption. In foreign adoptions, we frequently assist adoptive parents by handling their re-adoption of a child adopted in a foreign country.
In many cases, we represent the birth parents. We work with birth parents in independent adoptions and also in instances in which the birth parents are working with an agency.
